    Google Map and Users

I have been wondering for a while why that Map has not filled up and more people have not showed up on there. Now there could be allot of reasons for this and I am sure each person has there own reasons for this.

I wonder if it is because they dont want people to know where there from in which case you could put your self down for a town or too away from where you live and that way you would still show what state your from.

Then I wonder if it is because they just dont care about showing there selfs on the map in which case that is fine too.

But I know from the numbers of people and there states under there names there are allot that have not done this and wish they would.

It would be nice to see all those on this forum show up there maybe not all at one time but from time to time adding them selfs.

    Just a stupid thought.

I think a lot of people just don't want their location pin pointed on a map.

which case they could put another town they dont have to give the correct address.

Where it shows my location at is really about 6 miles as the crow flys from where it shows I am at for what ever reason.

I think if people could log in and put there own location on the map without going through someone else it might get more people doing it. Like the WB map http://www.frappr.com/whiteblaze/map.

Yeah, I haven't posted mine yet because it's a bit of a process(not really a big one, but one none-the-less)

As a trial, I set the map up so that anyone can edit it .

If someone wants to try it out and see how it works, go for it. You may be able to edit a point already on the map. This is new territory for me. I can leave it as a map that anyone can edit, but there is always the chance that some a-hole will screw with it. I certainly hope not. If someone does mess with it (in a bad way) I will make it so that I am the sole editor.

Is there a way to set it up so that users can only edit their own info?

Sorry, but it didn’t seem that big of a deal to do it, but since you asked, you can put me down for Philadelphia if you like. I’m not really IN Philly, but its close enough for government work!
