Well I hit the floor last night. My full time hammock is suspended in the stand with mule tape. After months of just climbing in a knot slipped and gravity did it's thing. So just a reminder, check that suspension frequently.

No pain, no gain! No injuries, more shock than anything. Gravity is fast when you're only 18" off the floor.

HeHe...glad your OK.
I was testing hammock gear a while back,,and had hung one of my tree straps on a 16 penny nail I had in a 4 x 4 post on the porch,,and was in a hurry to test,,lol,,,and so when I strung the hammock from that end,,grabbed the ends of the strap and slipped the carabiner thru the loop ends, and stretched the hammock out,,slapped the quilt on it that I wanted to check out,,,and sat right down,,and just kept going down,,,until my butt hit the ground,,needless to say,,don't trust a nail to hold you either,,
