Mine came when I pulled the closet door frame out of the wall. My basement testing was on hold until I finished "renovations" ( and a couple lag bolts) hahaha

Welcome!! My problem is that I keep rejoining the club at the most unexpected moments.

I've said it before and I'll say it again...
Congrats on your hammocking merit badge. It's official, you're now a "hanger".

Glad all that was dinged was pride. Usually the case.

My first attempt was with a sheet and tie downs. The whipping held just fine with parachord but...the 250 thread count COTTON sheet gave up the ghost just after the attached picture was snapped. Glad all is well

I've had it happen multiple times in my dorm after setting up my tripod stands slightly wrong. Nothing better than a bruised butt and having the 6 ft tall stands go crashing into you and your roommate's belongings XP

Son had a good laugh though. That is also the night I learned to not hang higher than your willing to fall. ....also 550 paracord is a joke (I then got to laugh at my son). There were a lot of lessons that first night.

I'm glad you ok and and butt and ego are still intact.
Ack! Glad that old bugnet held up! Must have been the superior construction!

Yep, grabbed my UQ, slid my butt down to the concrete... Thanks to good shock cords, the only thing bruised was my ego...

On my hiking trip last weekend I converted my gear hammock/pack cover to a hammock chair. I just pulled some shockcord out from the channel and used it as line to create a gathered end. I wrapped the shockcord around the whipping 'tight' and Larks headed on to it using a UCR and it held up well without incident. I maybe wrong but I was just thinking yours just wasn't wrapped tight enough that causes it to slid out?
