    The battle of hammocksburg!

    Ladies & Gentlemen,
I went down to my farm this weekend and tried out the new Hammockgear UQ and TQ. Kuddos to the HG bunch.

    I also had a thought.

That thought was we need a Civil War Hang. We Southern hangers need to invite our Yankee hangers down for some Southern hospitality, and let them know how much we appreciate them.

So... I thought we could have a hang at my farm. Plenty of trees and firewood for all. I was thinking a weekend hang and possibly hit a few of the Civil War battlegrounds on a Saturday. I have about 140 acres so there is plenty of room for pretty much anyone who wants to show. I will also get a port-o-potty as well for the weekend.

My farm is about 40 minutes South of Nash Vegas and 32 miles from the Damabama line. So the offer is out there for all you Bluecoats and Greycoats to throw in some input and let me know.

All in all a fun weekend of food, friends, and some US history if you so choose. I think a May date would be good. I can post up some weekend dates and get votes.

Sounds like a lot of fun, and just maybe my son's knee surgery will be healed enough by that point to go. Another thread I'm subscribing to.

I am going to bring my smoker down there for some good God fearing Tennessee BBQ on Saturday if we get enough people coming.

Nashville is about 30 miles North. The closest town would be Lewisburg.

I have an Ole Hickory smoker. I can put on enough to feed 125+ fairly easy.

That sounds like a great trip and sight seeing to boot.

Pencil me in for that and I will try not to embarass my State or the Union.
