Yes, sorta....but...I used the cheapest nylon rope Menards had. I was truly disappointed with this rope when I opened it up a year after I bought it. It was that bad. Used it anyway.
After it was up for almost a year, I took it apart to lash it up differently and found the rope to be in good enough condition to re-use. I'm guessing I'll get another couple of years out of it.
I did use amsteel to hang the ridgepole from the tripods.
Polyester holds up to uv better than nylon. It also doesn't stretch nearly as much as nylon when wet. Cheaper than amsteel. Id think that would work well for lashing. Cooke Custom Sewing sells a nice, quality 1/8 polyester cord.
