Ran across these in my local Wal-mart, while I was grabbing the last CCF blue.

Looked around and even found a matching 8x7 tarp

On a much more serious note. My local Meir is now carrying Smartwool, and Aquamira products.

I'm curious about that warning label: check periodically during use? And don't forget to check the building for strength and sturdiness...

Wonder what building collapsed on someone during testing....

hmmm I've bought 3 of the 5 x 7 tarps. Two of them are to make "walls" for the 2-pole Coleman canopy/sun shade (like gumbo and Tim put up on the Santa Fe (FL) river paddle.) The other is just in case...it was only $10! for kayak camping could be used to cover gear or as a carpet!

Any issues with sweating? I understand it is not too warm yet, but I am wondering about the "clammy" factor.

Frederick, MD Walmart had six or more. They put these low down beside the folding camp chairs. Not easy to see unless you're looking for them.

Yeah. I was hard pressed not to pick it up. Didn't see another. Already outsized my tarp, and I just wasn't willing to pack a couple.

Thanks for the heads up about this one. Just picked one up today; figured I'd give it a shot since I'm hear learning about hammocks for camping. I'm prone to getting motion sick, and a friend warned me that hammocks and I might not get along. I was thinking of trying a GTUL, but I could just grab this while I was out.

Hung it up today in the back yard (probably wrong as there was a pretty good ridge down the center) and tried it out for 30 minutes or so. Spent about half that with my eyes closed, and didn't have any nausea. Didn't go to nappy land, but I think I could have with no trouble. I still need to play with the setup and spend more time in it before I take it out for a night though. That and a bug net for these AR mosquitos. I'm a lot less worried about buying a nice one with a built in net now though.

Wondering if it's worth it to replace the suspension on it; seems a little silly to double what I've got in it if I still need to get a tarp and am going to order a new hammock.

Got one for our kids and it held me and the kids all three. Well over its suggested rating. Was comfortable to me at 6 foot and a bit above 250. Kids have both slept in it over night on my first TL stand in my living room.

I stopped at Walmart last night, they had a dozen of these just hanging there calling my name. I managed to walk away though. I did wind up buying a couple of water bottle holders though.
