    Dutch's Ridgelite works great!

This little ridgelight worked like a charm for 3 solid nites, and still put out light for 2 more as it dimmed..but it lit up the end of the hammock on the whoopie sling and you could still see light. Its the longest lighted led I have found so far and going to get a couple of more. Wife is carrying one in her purse for a backup. If you need batteries for this,,it takes 2, size 2016 flat batteries about the size of a nickel,,walmart had them one for 5 bucks or 2 for 6,,but I found them at Lowes for 2 for 4.38. and so far haven't found them any cheaper. Dutch's price is 3.50 per lite and shipping. Anybody runs across cheaper batteries let me know.

So I should take the batteries out and sell them to Walmart. My daughter plays with the same one every night. I keep expecting it to die, but not yet.

I haven't tried it yet, but someone suggested sanding the bulb to make it a defused light. I find it too bright hanging right above me but it is OK if I push it behind my head.

I just sandpapered the led and wow! It difused the light perfectly to cover alot of surface. And! You can still read by it if you wanted to as the light is still as bright as ever,,just not a beam of light now. I went into my walk-in closet and shut the door to where it was totally dark and worked on it with sandpaper, and now its perfect for hammock hanging and covering quite a area at the end of the hammock. Quite the nite lite! and your right Dutch,,very much difused! I have to get me some more of these!
