That is the name of my new (old) synthetic 3/4UQ. At first it was 2 layers IX but that was not warm enough. So I took it apart thread by thread, added 5oz Climashield layer in between, and did a resew. Used grossgrain on the ends to get rid of the gap, but only put tabs on the 4 corners. Took my elastic cord and looped it around each of the grossgrain tabs. I can pull each tab up or loosen them, so far it seems to work.
This is a definite use of "cut once incorrectly and then force it to fit" mentality. I learned a lot from it. One is to take my time. It has been darted on the wrong side, has burn holes in it from a candle and is already fraying. This is one ugly looking UQ
At the same time I would not trade the accomplishment of making it. Next on the list is to make a Knotty sidestretch 1.9oz single layer that's 11' to compliment my double layer 10'. Right now Monstrosity is on top of my bookcase until I make a stuff sack. Light in weight, but very, very bulky. Pics will have to wait until next weekend. Did an indoor hang to set it up, now have to move outside and search for the cold spots.
