Finished my full length underquilt! 1st DIY project

Well I finally finished my underquilt yesterday! This was my first DIY project and 1st time using a thread injector! I tell you what, this is a tough project right out of the gate. I somewhat had to figure things out as I went along.

It's not perfect but I do think it will work well. I will post pictures when I get home tonight.

I just want to say thank you to everyone on the forum. Without you I wouldn't have ever started such a task.

WOW! An UQ as your first diy is an undertaking. I sat back figuring up differential cuts and baffle distribution and such last night on mine and I think I heard a pop and smelt something burning.
I can't wait to see pictures!

Yeah it was! I spent A LOT of time planning and trying to figure things out. I know I did some things wrong but I think it turned out pretty good and will do the job!

My next step is to make a stuff sack for it. (Hopefully it will be much easier!

Congrats! My 1st project was an UQ too. Not perfect, but works great. Sure feels good when you're done.

Post some pics! We'd love to see it.

The DIY community here is fantastic. Couldn't ask for more helpful and knowledgeable folks. Yay HF DIY'ers!

You are brave! Most people would make the stuff sack first!

Ain't that the truth?!!! Once I realized I had to get into a 4th dimension and alternate universe, I simply put it off. Hope to get back to it some day soon, for next winter.

Its fun making your own stuff isn't it! My first project was 3/4 length UQ..... However, mine came out perfect..... as long as you dont look at it. Starting on my second one now.
