A title search is generally your best bet.

Some just get taken all the way off. I listed an ebay link....and opps, thread was gone. I just didn't realize I wasn't supposed to do that. Some times they are just moved to the donating members off topic area. You can try the search feature above, and then try the Google search feature (which usually works better and will usually bring right back here to the forums to the right area). If you've posted to what ever thread your looking for, you could click on your own statistics and look up your posts to find it. Those happen very seldom. Interesting that you neglected to mention you received a PM explaining that it was removed, and why.
If you see a 'moved' tag on a thread...just click the title to be taken to it.
Generally, if it's not hammock-related, it will have been moved to the off-topic forums. If it's hammock-related, it was probably just moved to the appropriate category...which should be fairly clear to find.

Yeah, I just had a post 'moved' yesterday - it was a link to a funny youtube vid. Is this not allowed or something? It was kinda hammock related: 'Everybody Loves a Hangin''
Anyway, I don't seem to have the permissions to view the post. Under the control panel, it doesn't show up as a post I've made. And I didn't receive any PM indicating what was up.
So I'm left wondering what's up?
It shared a verb, but that's all it shared with hammocks.
It was fun, but totally unrelated to hammocking, so it was removed.
