I just check ukhammocks.co.uk for their down price, it's pretty hight is-int it. To be honest I think I'm ether going to get some hight quality down pillows and use the down form them, or I'm going to order it from abraded, as long as the equivalent costs cancels out the shipping fees.

Thanks for the grate links though, I was really hoping to get some sort of reply form someone living in the UK facing the same sort of problems as me.

I'll let you know what I decide to do when I make up my mind.

i was wondering on a question like this about using a waterproof fabric on the inner shell the one toward the hammock it would keep condensation from getting in but might casue sweety back syndrome.

The down price at ukhammocks isn't actually that bad...

    I'm looking at 200g, which is £50. It's 850 down.

extremetextil would charge me 56 Euro's for 860 down....

Pretty much the same and you get it from a UK source.

Ye I guess its not that bad but i wanted to use like 400g for my UQ to make sure it can handle those bitter nights, so I'm still undecided about what I'm going to do. At the moment I'm still looking into high quality down pillows and duvets, but its quie hard to find out the fill power of the pillows and the duvets look quite hard to process.

a few words of wisdom for you!

Be very carfull with duvet and pillow down as the lower the down rating the better it works for pillows etc.

a pair of mid range down pillows will hold aprox 500g of down (£90 approx) at a fill of less than 500Fp you will not get bedding down with a higher fill power as you would find in camping gear. The sort of down used in outdoors sleeping bags and hammock quilts from all vendors is pure 100% white goose down ranging from 800-900Fp (also note our UK FP rating is diffrent from the rest of the world! FP is not the same as CUI we sell 850CUI witch is 900+FP)

Check out DIY supply for insultex and other synthetic insulation, be wary of prima loft or others in the EU as the are shipped on a scrim witch you must remove before making your gear and the stuff goes everywhere!!!
