    Hammock-friendly campgrounds in Columbia Gorge?

I am spending the month of July with my daughter in Portland, OR, and plan on spending many weekdays hiking the Gorge. I'll be doing some backpacking, but looking for good hammock-friendly campground(s) to act as a base station.

Looks like the Eagle Cr and Wyeth National Forest CG's might be good, but seem to be RV-oriented. I have my tent with me as well, but prefer to hang.

Anybody familiar with the area have any suggestions? Washington or Oregon side will work. I'll return the favor by posting my findings at the end of the trip.

    TIA,
