Just out of curiousity, has there been any reports of hammockers being attacked? Every report that I have heard envolving peolpe camping and bears, was with campers sleeping in tents.

Thats cute haha. Lets name him ARCADIUS its Latin form of Greek Arkadios, meaning "of Arcadia." The place name Arcadia was derived from the word arktos, meaning "bear."

And its a cool name lol

Course he needed a nap. He just had lunch at the Bird House.

Makes me think that Ed Speer's choice to hang high to avoid the bears, may not have had that much merit.

I haven't heard of any yet....but what worries me is that bears in areas where bear bag hanging is often employed might see a hammock as a low hung curiosity.

I think I've read on hear of someone having a bear walk under theior hammock and brush against them.
