Ridgeline help

The stock ENO straps perhaps? ENO uses nylon. It stretches a lot, most of us upgrade to polyester webbing, several good vendors out there.

Where do you have your ridgeline attached to?

Sorry to hijack this thread, but it is a corresponding question.

I am getting ready to put a ridgeline on my DN. Should it be attached to the hammock itself, or the suspension? I am using rings larksheaded onto the hammock and webbing.

Sorry I was not very clear on that. I learned pretty quick that the ENO slapstraps sag somethin fierce. I ordered poly strap and use a biner and knots. If you watch youtube and find the video that Ray Mears showed his set up, it's similar to that except I use biners instead of a ring.

That said I changed the angle of the hang and that made a huge difference.

Here's one possible way.

I prefer the ridgeline closer to me while in the hammock. Otherwise, I can't reach anything with my short little smurfy arms.
Tall guys might want a higher ridgeline and advise you to attach it on the rings?

I am trying out a ridgeline for my ENO DN. I am not sure what I am doing wrong with it. It is fairly tight when I am not laying in it but once I am it sags badly. Where am I wrong?

I would concentrate on the angle of your suspension and move the straps up and down the tree until you have what you feel is the proper ridgeline tension. This'll give you a fairly close visual guideline for hanging it in the future.
