    help find lake location

So I'm looking for a lake side location to camp somewhere in central pa. Can anyone throw me a line and point me in some sort of direction. My Google search is proving worthless. It will just be a friend and myself and I would like to be able to set up on the shore if possible. It may or may not be a hanging trip, it will all depend on my new tarp which I'm waiting for. So if anyone knows of such a place do a brother a favor and let me know. Thanks ya'll .

Ps this may be a car camping experience not really sure. It will all depend on what my buddies gear check list looks like.

    Raystown Lake

has lakeside sites on the Seven Points Senoia loop, but the sites are traditional car-camping sites and not really designed as paddle-in sites. Been there many times, and it is a hammock-friendly campground, both in terms of available trees and in staff acceptance of hammocks.

Be warned though that in summer the lake is infested with power boats and PWC.

Not a lake, but Minister Creek is one of my favorite all-time backpacking destination.

A babbling brook isn't a lake, I know, but there is a very nice overlook and of course the creek.

That is a very busy hot spot in summer time but it may work for is this time of year

There are only 3 lakes in pa that have campsites accessible by boat only. Tionesta lake, allegheny resevoir, and Raystown lake. All are on western side of state. Raystown a little more toward center.

That sucks but as much water as there is in pa there's gotta be some super secret location. Oh and we won't have a boat .
