Speading out my bug net - Skeeter Beeter UL

Anyone have any good solutions to "spread" out the skeeter beeter bug net a little? I used some small sticks between each elastic bit to give me some spread, but I am looking for some better ideas? I had to have my tarp pretty low due to crazy rain, and it seemed to collapse in my bug net, taking away my comfort space (bug net in face while sleeping is sub optimal).

What do you bug net users due to keep things more open in there.

forget using the 4 tie-outs on the SK-pro .. pick-up an adjustable RL .. I use NK Outdoors .. about 6'' in where the the netting joins the hammock {centered} .. burn a hole just enough to pass the RL through it .. run the RL with netting over the top .. this allow plenty of give for an asym lay and pulls all the slack from the netting

+1 on that!! I also added tie outs to the body to further aid in keeping net out of face

I would like to see some pics of these mods. Currently have my net clipped to prussics on my TRL.

A question...I have the ultralight and I am trying to mentally picture where you guys splice through the bug net...right at the ends of the hammock, or a point part-way up the bugnet. I have seen a few pics of either way, and trying to iron out what works best. Suggestions?

what material works best for sewing around the entrance holes through the net? could I just use a chunk of my nylon tree straps?

Tree straps are a little thick but sometimes you gotta work with what you have I guess. Grosgrain would be best. I just melted a hole with a hot paper clip and didn't use anything around the hole but that's more fragile I'm sure, so I would recommend reinforcement!
