    How many biners, other hardware?

How many biners and other types of hardware do you use, on suspension, on tarps? I'm setting up for the first time and will try out some different approaches, so I've picked up a selection of hardware to experiment with.

My earliest for hammock camping was a Knotbone on one end and a figure 9 on the other. Works well and I still take it out time to time. But otherwise it is a dutch hook and dutch tarp flyz for me.

On my hammock, I use tree straps that already have a "hook" in them (cheap, heavy wal-mart specials), and a climbing rated biner in place of a toggle for my whoopies. So, two "hooks", two 'biners.

On my tarp, I use plastic Fig 9s on each end to tension and adjust the center of the tarp to the trees. So, two plastic Fig 9s.

That's it, other than stakes for the hammock tie outs and tarp tie downs.

2 Dutch buckles, 1 tarp flyz, 1 Dutch hooks,a handful of nit-ize 0 sbiners, 2 Dutch Ridgeline biners.

Trying to eliminate various other hardware that I used to carry that I wasn't using or could be done with something lighter like a prusik loop. Have fun with it, try different stuff.

Two biners (for tree straps) (optional, mainly done for ease)
    Four rings for ring buckles.
