    hi from WA

Hi, I'm from Seattle and I discovered hammocks after working seasonally at REI last year. I used my discount to get an Eno Doublenest and slap straps. All that summer you could find me in the backyard hanging out in my hammock with a book and a beverage. =)

I'm interested in learning how to camp with my hammock. I've been browsing the forum and it seems I'm doing things the backward newb way. I'm so glad there are people here who have been there, done that and are willing to share their expertise here.

    Happy hangin'!

    - Chandra

PS, it's still snowing here so I'm patiently waiting for the season to begin...

    Welcome from Las Vegas, Chandra!

I grew up in Oak Harbor and really miss the opportunities for just about everything outdoors there. Didn't fully realize what an awesome place Washington was until I left!

Best of luck on your ham mocking adventures.

    Tons to learn here.

Well we've got your rain over here. Been raining for a week now

    Welcome from Spokane.

Keep an eye for group hangs that are within a decent drive from where your are...you'll learn lots I promise.

Welcome Chandra! I started out with the same two items & now have like 7 or 8 hammocks. I went packing a couple weeks ago up by Oysterdome.

Check out the ENO thread for some good gear ideas, or PM me.

A couple friends & I going up to Heather Lake or Boardman for a couple nights at the end of the month (probably with snowshoes).

    Welcome aboard.
