This is actually more response than I expected. Has anybody ever hung up there? I plan on taking some kayaks and a canoe if anyone wanted to borrow one of my extras. I'm not sure if I'll have my curtain climbers, but like others have stated, it's great for family camping.

Brian made it out there yesterday afternoon. From the pics he showed me, there's not a ton of trees. He said it your not scared of 20' spans there are several places. Personally, I could hang from one tree and my trailer. I'm kind of a "deal with it" person and I'm sure we can make it work. The Trailer I have is made to haul kayaks and would have several tie off points 6' high and I can share.
Its pretty remote and the fishing is amazing that time of year. There are not a ton of trees in the campground itself but it is nice and wooded towards the lake.
Airpark is actually the NW side of the lake. I can make a call to David(head wildlife specialist for tn who lives there) and see if we can get permission to sway from the sites a little to get a better hang.
There is an official campground on the south side of the lake near the spillway that is pretty large with a lot of trees but it is right off the road on one side and the lake on the other.
Reelfoot is a perfect canoe and kayak spot on the west side once you get out of the basin, but I forewarn you, the mosquitos are pretty thick, bug nets are not an option and neither is bug spray

I'm looking forward to seeing what kinda strings you can pull. I also have several "Tiki" torches we can spread out. They do help somewhat.

I checked it out Sunday... lots of trees, but the spans between them are generally 20-30 feet. Not a lot in the 12-16 foot range. There are abundant trees away from the camp site area that would be suitable, as long as no one would squawk at us for hanging in the woods. If you have a contact, that would be great. It's going to be hard to pull off if we're locked into those campsites.
Here is a pic of one area for those interested... It's pretty much all like this. As you can see, a hang would be challenging if we can't get in the woods.
