My headlamp is the Petzel Mayo5 at 6.8 oz and my camera is the cannon A610 at 10.3 oz. I got the headlamp b/c is takes AA's like my camera and I can switch them back and forth. I don't think I need that anymore. My camera gets great battery life.

Money wise I am tied to the camera, but I think I am going to upgrade the headlamp.
Is that too much to ask? Girls with frikkin' lasers on their heads?

Don't listen to HE when he complains about weight...he's turning into a gram weenie as his thru approaches :P

And you definitely don't have any room to complain on this trip, HE...I'll be bringing my 3 lb. sleeping bag as a top quilt (I didn't have time to make one)

Well unfortunatly I need to back out of the trip. My back has been bothering me a little bit lately. I was going to go anyways and deal with it. But I had a back spasm that sent me to the ground (picture if normal was sleeping in a hammock and by ground I mean sleeping on the ground sans any padding). I figure it is best if I sit this one out.

Have fun and be sure to post some pics for me.

hammock engineer... i'm really sorry to hear that.
i was looking forward to camping w/ you again, but more importantly, i'm sorry to hear about your back problems.
i hope you can get that back straitened out soon. i know that's a real disappointment & concern for you.
    you take care. ...tim

Thats what happens when you mess with a girl with a frikkin laser on her head! Thats terrible. I was hoping to meet you all tomorrow. Hope your back gets better and we will see you on the next one. My wife and I have a baby sitter tonight (YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS) and are going to dinner. Ill pack after that, and am leaving around 0600 in the morning so I can get there by lunch! Ill take lots of pics. BD
Just Jeff made me do it
