Looks like an awesome trip. Im pretty bummed that I wasnt able to make it. FLrider, I am thoroughly impressed, thats a long ride man. Hopefully Ill make it to the next one. Thanks everybody for posting up all the pictures.

e.h sorry that you couldn't make it, you would have been our lucky # 13. Expect to see you on our first hang in the fall. PM if you feel like some day hikes in the area before it gets totallly unbareable

Serious looking crawly in yellow.
More info on the wheeled unit please. Looked very smart for that type of trail.
Anybody take a dip in the green colored pond?
If you guys every do one of these on my off week I'd love to tag along!

No problem. The Sherpa is a jogging stroller, though olddog can tell you more about it than I can.

No, nobody was crazy enough to go swimming at "Blue" Sink. We'd love to host you down here again, MM!

I'm a little late to the party here, but wanted to say we had a wonderful time this past weekend. We had been looking forward to this since Buck Lake and it did not disappoint. It was great to see those that we knew, again, and great to meet some new folks too. Also, special thanks to everyone for making theflg feel welcome. This was her first real hike & hang, and she loved it. Hope to see you all again soon.

All of the pictures look amazing! Thanks to everyone that posted them. I always seem to either forget my camera or forget to use it on these trips.

MM, the 'Sherpa' is a modified jogging stroller for babies with some of the unnecessaries removed. The lower shelf can carry quite aload, such as a DO with the fixings for 4 peach cobblers at the LWRSF hang or hauling over 10 liters of water this past weekend. Above that is a smaller compartment for items that you want to keep close at hand. Two small zippered pouches were removed from the canopy and reattached to the side rails. Other gear such as hammock and TQ are carried in a water resistant rolltop bag in the main compartment. with plenty of room for other gear.

Last weekend was the first true test of the Sherpa with 14 miles of hiking and the large water load. Crossing logs in the trail is simply a matter of rocking the front wheel over then lifting and rolling the rear wheels over. The hardest part of the trail was where the wild hogs had rooted up the path. On arrival home I found that the front tire was flat. If it happened on the trail I never noticed it. Not the ideal device in your neck of the woods but works great down here so far.

I thought I would finally chime in and say thanks to everyone who came out to hang. I hope I did not wake anyone up Friday night when I arrived late. The hike itself was excellent. I believe the water in Blue Sink is drinkable it did not appear as bad as I was hearing. Although I did not sample it, perhaps next time.

It was a great weekend!

I wanted to jump on and say thank you to everyone for making me feel welcome! I had never gone before because I was always the only girl, but at Buck Lake I said this is a lot of fun forget it I'm going.

I had a great time hiking and talking with everyone. I enjoyed talking to Turtle Lady about our love of teaching. Thank you Old Dog for the water that you stored for us. It was great seeing faces I was familiar with and meeting all the new ones as well. I will definitely be invading future hike and hangs

The pictures were really pretty and we will try to get our video up asap for everyone to see.
