Wow, what an awesome trip and great video. Thanks for taking us along on a trip unlike anything I at least can experience nearby.

Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can.

And whither then? I cannot say."

Sign him up for next year. One should like dogs if your going to spend a week with them on the trail.

Thanks, my first ever video so I was worried how it would be accepted by the gang.

Due to warm weather, recession their business has been off so next year they would certainly be grateful for any business. The guides were just great and more food then any of us could eat.

Huskying is something I will never get to do, if that be the case, your fantastic video has been the next best thing. I really liked the sled cam view and that bit of down hill action with the slow mo replay.
Well if you ever get to this side of the pond I will be glad to go with you.

Certainly was on my list. When I lived in Alaska I was always intrigued by the Idairod Race so this was as close as I will ever get.

I have been so gratefully to everyone at HF and all the contributions I just hope this helps toward payment of my debt to this forum for all I received from it.

Cool way to introduce yourself to winter camping! What a spectacular trip. Bummer about the water spillage, but sounds like you stayed warm after all. I'll bet all the extra insulation came in handy that night. Thanks for sharing such an awsome trip!

The dogs were great and it is hard to convey on film but when your with them you realize how much they truly love to run and pull a sled.

The howling started after I heard some wolves howling off in the distance so our pack responded. Thanks for watching and I appreciate compliments

I didn't get cold and didn't know the water had leaked until I retrieved the bottle to brew some coffee. Most of the water ran through the down bag and collected in the outer synthetic bag. The next nite I had frozen clumps of down but stayed nice and warm. Thanks for watching and your comments

    Wow

What a great trip report! That looked like a blast. I sure did wish I was you when you were filming the moon with the Huskies in the background! Thanks for taking us with you Bluejeans! Looks like I am going to have to put a trip like that on my short list of things to experience.

Thanks Stormcrow for the kind words, I would like to return next year so maybe I need to buy a 0* Incubator and then you would have to come along to conduct "field equipment testing" and write the trip off on your taxes as product development expenses. LOL.

    I'd have loved that....too cool.

I want to go next season. It would be great if we could get enough people off HF to book out a trip.
Ely looks like a great area. No wonder it looks secluded, Ely is a ways from even Duluth.
