    Greetings from Middle Tennessee

    Hey all. I'm out of Murfreesboro, TN and equipped with a Hennessy Hyperlite with their SuperShelter kit. I'm waiting on whoopies and hooks and such from Dutch right now to lighten up my suspension.

    Wife and I got into dayhiking after we sent our kid off to UT Knoxville and I've move towards wanting to be out there more than in the day, though I haven't done much overnighting so far and haven't gotten her out there at all for the night. Also have a tent I'll try to get her in one of these nights to maybe get her started too. I aspire to do some section hikes of the AT.

    Welcome from Nashville! Sounds like you and the missus are making a good start at things! Throw in a couple of kayaks and you'll really be in the mix!

    You may enjoy checking out the "Nashville Backpacker" group on meetup.com. We do several hikes a month and sometimes kayak outings too. Just a suggestion; do with as you please.

    I'll be doing a short section on the AT in May if that might interest you.

    Yeah, I almost went with you last year but wasn't able to. I keep up with the Meetup group but haven't gone on any since last spring. I get restricted by the Predators schedule, especially this time of year when we don't know when playoff games are happening.
