I've got big plans, though - my eventual goal is to try and duplicate Dutch's Bridgeskin using this design as the base hammock design. I was thinking cords eventually to minimize the base weight of the hammock/pack (though seeing as I'm not a gram weenie by any stretch of the word it might not be worth it).
Hiya, did anything ever come of your plans. Came across this thread today and thought the same thing. I'm looking into a bridgeskin as an idea for my, half joking but the more times I say it the more serious I become, plan to unicycle around Europe. I love the bridgskin as a way to get a comfortable mobile sleeping arrangement and a lightweight framed backpack for free. Especially as i wouldn't have hiking poles on a unicycle.
