Ridgeline length

I am going to make my own ridgeline for my ENO DN, to give the bug net a little support and with with to hold a mesh pocket.

To those who have done this: I was going to take a length of paracord (length X) plus a little bit more (length Y). I was going to loop it through my descender rings and tie prussik knots at either end.

My question is: How much length X and Y do I need?

kind of a general rule on ridgeline length is 81% of the total hammock length, of course this isn't a hard and fast rule, some use shorter some longer, what ever is more comfortable for you

make sure whatever you use ins't nylon though, it will stretch, and paracord is usually nylon i think
