Hi Yanman,

So do you ever go to Leigh Woods? I began my hammock adventuring there walking in at around 10pm under cover of darkness and found a great spot. Scared me half to death the first few times. Once I came upon a deer in the dark and thought the devil himself had come to take me.

Then they forested the spot I'd found so now I have another one on the leigh court side of the woods, past paradise bottom.

I go up there every few weekends. It might be cool to exchange ideas one saturday? We could do an afternoons hammocking and have some tea and cake and stuff.

Up for it?

Sorry I took so long to reply to your post, been camping over the week end for my mates birthday, so only just check the forum.

Ye I do go Leigh woods but not really form hangin, more for the mountain biking. I have had a couple night trips there with friends, a fire and warm dinner but never over night. I would be up for it though, deferentially happy to exchange some ideas. Iv got a few friends that would probably be up for it as well, as long as you don't mind a couple of us young hampers sharing some space between the trees.

What ever happens I would really like to meet up with some fellow bristol hampers at least just for a day trip or even an adventure on the mores but the main thing is to network and get better at what we love to do best, just hang around .

Message me if any thing dose get organised, if it takes to long il have to organise something my self.

I'm trying to get out at least one night per month this year so April is my next outting, no idea when in april but I'm open to offers.
Do you's two Siggy/Yanman have transport?
Which side of town do you live on?
I'll try and find somewhere local ish for an overnighter.

Stockhill woods near Priddy is good as is East wood just north of Tidenham, nr Chepstow.

I know Fishponds well, I used to live on Brentry rd and Poplar place.

Yeah, those places are about a mile from me. I live up near the staple hill end of fishponds.

So, yeah, I'm keen to do at least an afternoon and preferably a night somewhere with a couple of people. I've just installed my whoopies and will be testing them out thursday and friday night. Looks like it's gonna be really good weather for it too.

Mountain bike from Brecon, Powys. on a 60k loop dossing in the woods near Tal-y-bont reservoir. Start Good Friday at noon, Single night, back in time for a late brekkie in Brecon.
