Seems like a lot of times when I sleep in my hammock{a clark}. I get a shoulder ache like my shoulders are being pinched together. What can I do to solve this problem?

I'm curious as well.
Say more, like which model.
I wear a 42 suit cut and sleep in a Clark every night very comfortably.
Been to archives and read suggestions on set up there?
I suspect you may be following visual cues from the netting and hoods, and hanging too tight. Before you hang the hoods or insert hoops, get out a 3/4" tape measure, sit in the hammock, and report on the virtual ridgeline length. You might be at 90-92% of maximum length. Tell us.

I don't own a Clark, so my information may be suspect here. However, I have to agree that this is the most common cause of shoulder squeeze with my Hennessy. When I string it tight, my shoulders feel compressed. My solution has been to hang it pretty loosely, more so than most, and to raise the foot end between four and eight inches higher than the head end.
It may or may not work with a Clark, but it's at least a place to start. Hope it helps!
I too had that problem in my Hennessey and solved it with stringing it up looser than normal.
I'm not a small guy and avoid the pinched shoulders by slinging looser.
