    single quilt?

    Just a thought but has anyone thought of making one large quilt that could jut wrap around the hammock and tuck in as opposed to seperate under anf top quilts?

    Yes, sleeping bag mods have been done by quite a few folks here.

    The problem is that unless the bag is oversized, it doesn't leave much room in the hammock to move around or lay in a diagonal position. It does work though.

    I did it with my Western Mountaineering Alpinelite 20º bag. I added a small TQ and UQ as it was real cols weather.
    Totally doable.

    Whats this get down to comfortably? I rarely go below 20F, just looking to cut weight wherever I can.
