    Prussik Loop for Structural Ridgeline

On our ENO Double Nest I'm thinking of using a long prussik loop between the carabiners to make an adjustable structural ridge line. I'd use the lowest stretch line practical, and I think an added benefit would be that I could lower the diameter since I'll have a double line running across.

Also, I'm thinking of using prussik loops from the biners at the hammock ends to the double rings we use for tensioning the tree hanging strap. Since we're river guides we always have tube-webbing belts that we're already using as our tree hanging straps. And we also have an assortment of prussik loops of various lengths with us we use for safety and recovery while guiding.

Has anyone here gone 'prussik berserk' like this and have any insights on what I'm hoping will make things strong and still adjustable?

    Thanks,
    Travis

Yes, exactly like that that and that!

I did a search for prussik loop and structural ridgeline. The gallery shots didn't show up. and the forum thread doesn't pop up because the keywords I used weren't in it.

But, as usual, this site is the best how-to site I've found for any subject. And the posters are beyond helpful. Now I'm psyched to get the cordage and go try it.

Thanks Mr. Hooch! I'm especially gratified that you're hanging in the same rig I'm using.
