First time to this site/First posts

I was reading through a thread and and lo and behold, it led me to my first post on HF. It's amazing to see how new I was, my lack of knowledge about gear and how really unprepared I was for the trail this hammock thing would take me on.
On the other hand, the quick acceptance of other members and a willingness to share their knowledge and experiences has certainly made this a great community to be a part of. Thanks to everyone for making this site what it is.

Welcome to the site filled with really great people. I posted a question in a BWCA forum and was very alarmed by other posters telling me that my question was stupid - I spend so much time on this site I was not sure how to handle being blasted.
