    Oh the pain!

I just recently got back from a 3 day 11 mile hike and suddenly realized something the day after I got back home. I hurt, a lot. Its not from the hiking or sleeping in a hammock for two nights, no its from sleeping in my bed at home that I've been in for 5 years. I never noticed the pain before, but after 2 nights in the woods and 2 days with absolutely no back pain, it is clearly evident that I have to replace my bed. I've even thought of hanging a hammock in my bed room, but my wife isn't to fond of that idea. When you've been hurting everyday you don't notice how much you hurt until the pain is gone and once you are aware of the pain it's just that much more apparent to you, guess ignorance really is bliss. So just want to thank hammocks everywhere for pointing out that I am in constant pain and have never noticed.

I have no idea why, but after sleeping exclusively in a hammock for 5 years, when I sleep on a mattress my ribs hurt.
It literally feels like I was in a fight the night before and took a few good shots to the ribs. No clue.

That's because GD is trying to make you stop snoring. I get the same treatment at home.

You could always make a portable stand and hang in the bedroom. Check out the thread "Turtulelady's bamboo stand". I made one from wooden dowels and two small fence post. Really easy and everybody wins.
