Question about sewing on quilt hooks

Just got some of Dutch's quilt hooks for my hammock. I have a Black Bird 1.7 DL. My question is do I need to use any particular thread to sew these on with or will just any do??? Have made mods to my hammock but never tried to stitch anything to it.

    Thanks,
    Jeff.

I used just plain old thread from my sewing kit. The hooks don't carry much weight they just keep the UQ in place so I think I will be fine. I did have some issue with where to put the hooks and I am not quite happy how they pull on the WBBB 1.1 when I am in it. Thanks for reminding me to send a note to dutch.

I'm not a sewing guy, but I believe you want to use synthetic thread as cotton thread will rot away in outdoor use.

anything that is 100% poleyester will do. Guttermans is reconmended, but not neccesary. Just dont use cotton, because as always, "cotton is rotten" when it comes to camping gear.
