How to stop rain from running down suspension

I just started using whoopie slings on my Clark NX-250 hammock. In the past I used the ropes and rings provided with the hammock, which worked great at stopping rain from running down into the hammock.
I really like the whoopie sling setup and I'm looking for suggestions as to how to prevent rain from running down the whoopie slings into my hammmock. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I cut pieces of material about a 1/4 inch thick off the synthetic cloth shamwow towels, if you don't have those, you can use a piece of cotton shoe string to tie on your whoopie,,about any kind a piece of cloth will absorb and stop the rain from running down, just be sure to tie tight.

Thanks for the information. I'll look into the dutchware products, but for now I'll try ACER's recommendation using the cloth. I'm leaving this evening for a two night trip and it is raining as I write this. Thanks again.

I have just used a cotton cord tied on my whoopies. I have weathered a way more rain since I started hammocking than I ever did tenting...and stayed much dryer. I just always snug up the cords as I am getting in the hammock.

in this area we "enjoy" more rain than most of the rest of the country... so something more perm. is called for. inserting a ring between the hammock and the woopies will force the rain to drip off before it gets to the hammock. since it stays with the hammock, there's no need to install it each night. desender rings are available from rei, climbing stores, and cottage supplyers

Put the lovely stock rings back in. Just one wrap of the whoopie around it, and the water will drip off it.

Or, tie a thin, small strip of fabric around the line, near the channel, and let it hang.

Ordering a piece of hardware and paying for shipping to accomplish this is unnecessary
