    Karo Box TQ questions

I'm about to make a TQ using the Karo box technique with it being 76"x50" with 2.5" baffles with 12oz of 800+ down looking to be good down to 20 degrees.
    1. Is it ok to have head and foot end 50" or should I taper?
    2. Will this be good for around 20 degrees?
    3. Any thing else?

Think about your footbox. You might want a pocket for a small ccf pad so your heels don't get cold.

I'm 6'-1" and 200# and all my top quilts are 40" wide. That wouldn't be wide enough to go to ground, but it works for me in the hammock.

    1) You should taper IMO. 50" is about a foot wider than it has to be. If you want extra roomyness I'd go 44".
    2) Yeah, but with a Karo design especially, you really want a baffle height about a 1/2" shorter than your desired loft. I would use 2.25" baffles(after sewing) and shoot for about a 2.75" loft.
    3) Are you doing a 12/6 Karo design?

Second opinion to go narrower, sounds good.
    As for 12/6, yes.
