Nice vid. Seriously, this was your first hike with HF members? Is that even possible that you've avoided us so long?

And you cannot pass that tarp off as the standard HG 4S what most call the Winter Palace. You have to call that something like the Winter Walmart, or the Winter six football fields. Too much coverage to be a regular Winter Palace.

    Great trip!

Enjoyed the flag. Especially the GR patch.

How did the cuben? rain jacket fair? How's the breathability?

It was a great trip! Can't wait to do it again. Perhaps even more HF members could join us next time?

Sorry for the liberal language use everyone! I'll control myself next time. Can't speak for my buddies though! :P

Woohoo! What a fun *beep* time in the woods.

I can't believe this was the first time you met some HF members, but I hope it's not the last.

How the heck did your feet get wet while in that fortress of yours? Was the air really moist or something?

Fun video and thanks for posting dude.

    Stay gansta!

I had a quick gear review at the bottom of my blog:

Zpacks Breathable Cuben Rain Jacket – Decided to test it’s ability to be used as a wind jacket. Not bad. Not as breathable as eVent but close. The second day it really proved its worth as it was cool and no rain but the wind was cutting into me. Went up some really steep terrain and I did get condensation but when the trail evened out I hiked myself dry. Pretty cool. Never rained while we hiked so that is still yet to be tested.

    Well Beeping believe it son

I think my foot box got wet due to the rapid decrease in temp after the second rain storm that came in and the fact that my feet did not have any socks on so I had no buffer between my skin and the TQ. Also probably due to the fact that I may have over heated that night too as I woke up with my cap off, and the top quilt half off my body and I had no idea how that happened..... aliens

Enjoyed muchly WM--thanks for posting up this fine expletive vid.
I've got the 'poser' winter palace and want to know more about your foot area getting damp? How? I've got nothing but theories, would rather hear yours.
The hiker shooting all the birds--was that from ground disease? Loved the camo attire though-it would blend in well in east TN.
Please comment on you Zpack backpack-comfort? Tot.weight carried, etc.
Steps on Bear Mountain! What am improvement, NoBo on it for me was a death defying drop-looks like the vol. crews have done a huge amount of work.
Wish you'd shot vid of the kids on the roof of the shelter-ATC needs to see that, shelters are expensive enough to build and maintain without dancers on top.
Water on the AT in NY, it was the hardest state of the ones I've done to get potable water but I never had a 1.2 mile struggle for it-hat's off to all of you for that effort.
Loved the skyline shot. Before that section we shuttled to town and did the Blue Line ride around the Stature-wonderful memories you brought back.
    Thanks again for posting.
