    Greetings from Ft. Bragg, NC!

Hello everyone! I've been reading around here for a few weeks deciding on what hammock to buy. I ended up getting the HH Expedition and also bought the Hex Fly. I primarily plan on using it on field training exercises because cots are uncomfortable and I like having my space away from the people I have to look at all day while in the field haha. I was able to setup my hammock fairly quickly the first time and used it for 3 days in the pouring rain Thursday through Saturday. I learned that I need to buy longer tree huggers for our large pine trees we have here and I am ordering some carabiners and descending rings for quicker setup. All I used inside was a medium sized Thermalrest pillow and my poncho liner and I slept very comfortably. I am going on another field training exercise to Fort Pickett, VA in a few weeks and I am looking at options for extra warmth just in case. Been looking at under quilt options and they all seem to be very pricey, so I might end up doing the poncho liner mod until my wife let's me drop more money on my hammock.

Thanks for the warm welcomes. Usually I dread going on Army field exercises and now I'm excited to go just so I can use my hammock. The first night I had mine setup, I had 3 people including my Command Sergeant Major looking at in confusion until I had them lay in it and 5 minutes later they were all breaking out their phones and placing an order from Hennessy's website. If this trip goes well, I'll probably be placing another order for my wife so we can go camping this summer.

Welcome aloft Airborne. I wish they had such nice hammocks when I was in the Army. I did use a net hammock after a night Land Nav. course I did with ROTC Cadets. It sure was comfy and away from the critters in Kentucky.
