    Porch mode-- help with setup?

Can anyone explain or show how they pitch their tarp in porch mode with hiking poles or the like?
I know this can't be terribly difficult, but I've never actually seen how you anchor the poles, so I need a little tutorial help.
    Thanks!

Here's a picture of it. Not my setup, but it's a good example to show you. (I learn best visually).

I've had luck, at times, where other trees have been close enough for me to tie off to as well, instead of using hiking poles.

I think the key is to guy out the corners from the tips of the poles in a direction that pulls the tarp corners evenly. Imagine each corner as a "Y" and the pole would be at the centre of where the three line form the "Y"

    thanks!
I have used nearby trees to set it up this way, just never with the hiking poles. The pic is worth a thousand words!

I don't like placing my handles in the dirt. So, I wrap the guyline around my grips, nice & tight, and sink the tips in the ground real good. It's always worked well for me and my poles can't just slip out; allowing a corner to fall slack.

I'd recommend trying both ways and using whichever works best for you.
