Speaking of Shug, he was kinda wanting to attend this Fall Festival, but other things are going to keep him from it.

We decided to keep it simple leave it at $5 per ticket. That's already 1/2 price
Our group is not as big as last year & we want to be sure to end up with a nice donation for FOGHSP. Hopefully everyone will buy more tickets because of the lower price.
We've got some really nice prizes!

Its odd how things change as you stand there with mouth gapped open starring in disbelief. I found out last night we have family coming to visit the weekend of the festival. And a beach weekend is in the works. I really enjoy hammock camping but not as much as walking on the beach with my sweetie.
Its looking like I am not going to be making it this year. Sorry guys...

Sorry to hear that Hogg Tyed, but that's certainly understandable.

I had to choose between two events this weekend too. But because I couldn't get a dog setter to go to the other thing, but I could bring her with me to this one I was saved! Hope to see ya another time Don.

I am a NOOB and I hope to attend. I have only had my hammock for about a month and this would be my first group hang. Due to a family commitment I will only be able to spend Friday night and have to leave on Saturday around noon.
So far I have only hung in the woods on my property and one overnight at Hanging Rock State park. I am keeping an eye on the weather before I commit to attending. I don't have an underquilt yet and the night I was at Hanging Rock I had cold butt syndrome at 52 degrees using my pads. I won't be able to buy an underquilt until I sell my tent and down sleeping bag. I'm looking forward to meeting everyone and maybe finding a hiking partner. I'm old (69) and slow and want to do another section hike on the AT.

Welcome aboard Bonepile! What kind of pads are you using? Maybe we can help you on that CBS issue.

I have a bunch of different pads. A REI litecore inflatable, and a couple ridgerest foam pads. I also tried using 2 of the evafoam 1/8 inch pads with a windshield reflector. Trouble is that they all shift around. I sure would appreciate any help.

I could bring you a DIY pad extender to use so the pads will stay together for you. I find that a Reflectix sit pad just under my but helps with the CBS too.
