I injured my right shoulder and have arthritis in both elbows. When I sleep in my Hennessey Explorer I feel like a mummy. Of course my shoulder and elbows ache when I get up. I was wondering about a bridge hammock and maybe as a DIY project if I need to make adjustments for myself. Does any have some practically info or experience they could share? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

A bridge hammock is known for what feels like "shoulder squeeze". If it is made properly it is not actually squeezing your shoulders but it does somewhat feel like it. How this would affect you I have no clue. But I would recommend that before you start making one see if you can try one out. A bridge has its own unique quirks and learning curve that is quite unlike a gathered end.

I have not found any shoulder squeeze in a eureka chrysalis type hammock. The problem is the weight.
