It was the 1.75 mm zing-it, that's just what I had, you can use anything. All it is for is to keep the hammock gathered. I am not familiar with the Warbonnet. If you watch the first video from Grizz that is a sticky, he explains what I did. That's who I learned it from.

Ordered me some Whoopie Slings last night and a pair of tree straps from Stu to replace all the hardware and ENO Straps. I thought about using the ENO straps, but thought they might be too long and heavy with all those sewn loops.

Not trying to cut every ounce, just beginning to figure out the most "streamlined" system I can. Going tomorrow to the local archery shop to see if I can "procure" some ends from arrows that have been cut down for a Marlin Spike setup.

I'm looking at buttinasling.com for my polyester straps, the stock ENO straps do stretch quite a bit.

I went to an archery shop and got a couple of carbon fiber toggles, 2.75" - 3" will be plenty. they weigh nothing.

NOTE: get a bright colored string to make a small loop, 1. to remove it from the marlinspike hitch knot and 2. find it after you drop it in the woods.

Once I discovered Harbor Freight's polyester tie-down straps it takes all the work out of finding tree huggers. They're $4 for a pair of 12' straps. One $4 set will make you 2 sets (4 straps) of standard 6' tree huggers. Using marlinspike/toggles no further action required beyond cutting them in half (and cutting the buckle off). You can also sew loops onto the ends.

I've used these to hang 2 nights plus probably twenty 1-2 hour long sessions and they've worked beautifully.
