Excel Racing 3mm Double Braid Dyneema Core

Will Excel Racing 3mm Double braid SK-75 Dyneema core line work for suspension lines with ring buckles?

It's a 1200 pound breaking strength. My concern is that may be too stiff to get a proper bite on the rings.

I ask BC I can get this locally for around $.23 per foot. Any help or experience is greatly appreciated.

I just bought some of this:

    http://www.sailworks.com/web/moreinf...Product_ID=360

They shipped it first class for another $2. Contact Tracy if you decide to order some. I got the 200cm precut option for $6. That is about 78 inches. 1365 lb breaking load.

I share the same concerns as you about the stiffness of the Excel. Did you go and look at any?

Wow, that seems pretty expensive (but very cheap shipping). What made you choose that cord over Amsteel Blue? I just bought a bunch of the 7/64" for $.15/ft.

Everyone selling Amsteel wanted a fortune to ship it. I only need a few feet to do from the hammock to my rings. When you figure in the shipping, I actually came out a few bucks ahead.

Yeah, the shipping can be rough. I needed more than just a few feet for structural ridgelines, tarp tie-outs, new cinch buckle suspensions, etc. so I went ahead and bought 200' of the stuff. If figure I could always sell smaller lengths to folks here if I don't think I'm going to use it all.

Heh, wish I had know that you had some to sell. I only needed about 6 feet or so.

It hasn't arrived yet. Should be here by the end of the week.
