Alright, I'm looking into purchasing a warbonnet blackbird and I want a rain fly with it. What would be a good rain fly that would completely cover the hammock and is completely waterproof. ( I want one that stakes out)

Any of the WB tarps will cover the hammock and they are all waterproof. The size you choose depends on when and where you will be using it.
Don't let life get in the way of living.
I just got back from a trip on the central coast of California where it rained for about 14 hrs. straight. I had the Superfly and my buddy had the Bigmambajamba. We both stayed completely dry. I, also, brought my OES McCat Standard to use as an extended porch for both of us when sharing food. I would advise seam-sealing the pullouts though. I have heard that others here have had good luck without doing so, but unfortunately, for our two tarps we should have sealed them first. The pullouts had intermitten drips, but nothing that the dry ground under it didn't absorb.
Go with WBBB... keep the "Bird" with family, man.
Welcome clarkalltheway, from central Ohio. It's a bit like car shopping, you have a lot of choices. Typically new hammockers tend to tarps with more coverage i.e. the Superfly, then migrate to smaller tarps as their confidence increases. Also you should consider your style of camping, if you hike quite a bit then weight and pack volume will be important or if you are a car camper not as much.
I wouldn't try to steer you away from Warbonnet, but check OES, I see Brian made an announcement that he's back in business. There are more than a few good makers. We'll be down in Zaleski state park in force this weekend if you'd like to slip down. Camp C is about 1.5 mile in from the trailhead you could check out a few different rigs and talk with some folks.

thanks guys before i was nearly sold on the wbbb, but now i will definately purchase one, probably with the mamajamba and adjustable webbing
I know this is the Warbonnet Forum, so I'll preface this way.
One thing I love about Warbonnet is that they market their hammocks separately. This lets the user purchase a tarp which fits their use.
Now, IMHO, each tarp has its pluses. The WB tarps look like a great design as does the OES. They also feature the option of adding doors (beaks). Still, I love the price, coverage, and function of my HH Hexfly. It's a couple ounces heavier but about $60 cheaper. I wish you could find doors for it. And my favorite feature of all is the cord keeper pockets in the corners. Now, if someone could make a nice light tarp with tieouts, corner pockets, that had a door option, good coverage (10x12), for under $150, I'd buy that.
