Can i just tie my rings directly to the cords that came with the hammock? Or can i yse some sort of other rope to replace it? Weight is not an issue at the moment, just trying to get this hammock up so i dont fall down

From the pics and what I received, it is just as TTTM, Trek, ENO HAAB double models. There is no labeling what so ever on it. Two cords came with it already in the end channels. No hooks.

The stitching was straight some places - very off line in others and some loose threads. Could these be seconds from the bigger name brands? Although all are the same color pattern - dark olive with light olive side pannels. Maybe they are what the manufacturere use to train the workers to sew?

I set it up and my bottom touched the ground. The included ropes stretch.

I re-tied my HF straps to the ropes right up nest to the fabric. Much less stretch. Very comfy, soft material, get nice flat lay on only slight diagonal. I could easily lay on my side or turn, sit, whatever and it all held my 260# fine.

HOWEVER the side panels flapped over the top closing it off. This would be great for cooler temps, but it got too warm and plus I couldn't see out.

Was I doing something wrong? It seems the side panels are almost too much material. What say you ENO DN users.

    WE DID TOOk 'EM ALL!

I just checked and the item is OUT OF STOCK

You might check back next week at http://www.hammocks.com/hammocks/cam...blehammock.cfm

You could attach rings to stock cord, but be ready for stretch. I recommend replacing.

    Crazy

Unfortunately the hammock.net site order now link directs you to hammocks.com where you find it out of stock.

Sorry NEO and to think the stock number (NEO11) has your name in it.

Not yet. They just stuck it in mail today. I must have got one of the last ones.

Got it for my beaufriend. I'm not sure he'll like hammocking so this is a cheap way for him to try it. I have extra support lines, etc. all I needed was the hammock. $19 bucks shipped. Great!

I'd go with something like Spyderline but the stock rope may be o.k

Here's an idea......take the rope run thru the chanel just like it came, and on one side of the rope, form a larkshead around the rings, then run that same end of the rope back thru the channel. You will then have two pieces of rope side by side on the opposite end of the chanel as the rings. Then just cinch it together by tying a basic knot like this.......this is the knot that comes on the Treklight as well as TTTM hammocks.
Take each end of the rope and run them across the double rope at the rings. One piece goes to the left of both pieces of rope and one goes to the right of those ropes. Then just tie a basic knot using both free ends of the rope. It may not seem like it will be strong enough but it is. The chanel is taking most of the load. I can imagine this might sound nutty to some with my instructions. Let me know if you need additional help. Of course this is just one idea. I'm thinking that if you dont have much rope length between the chanel and the rings, stretch might not be a big deal.
