    Adjustable Webbing Suspension question

For the AWS 3rd one down:

Do you have to tie a backup knot with it?

agreed. Never used one and I own several sets of this buckle style. (From Warbonnet and AHE).

As others have said, no. I only put a slippery half hitch to get the excess webbing off the ground if my trees are closer together.

Agreed, do not need a back up knot with these. Have never had a problem and I weigh 280 and have used them for several years now on just about all my hammocks .
I am still 18 but with 52 years of experience !

Thanks guys just wanted to make sure. I tried them out the other weekend without a backup knot and it worked fine, but my wife was going to be using the hammock and I figured I better check before she ends up on the ground.
