Spring Northen hang

My friend Drew would like to come with but doesn't have much gear (backpack, stove, etc)so I am lending him some things to use but I do not have an extra hammock for him. He is interested in hammock camping and will have a tent

but I thought I might ask if anyone going on this trip might have an extra hammock he could try out. Also, do we have an estimated total of all the folks going on this trip?

I should be coming and have an extra diy hammock...however I don't have an extra tarp....let me know if he ends up needing it.

That's would be great! I have both a HH hex fly and the stock asym fly so I'll bring both.

So I talked to the lady at the Brule river S.F. and there's no problem with a permit. I do need a couple of license plate numbers from members coming to put on the permit as well as an exact count of people coming. So if some of you would shoot me some PM's that would be great.

Also need to get an idea of when everyone will be arriving as there is no camping spot, just a parking area. My thought was to meet up Friday and hike in a mile or so to camp. But that also means we have to shuttle cars Friday night. Let me know what your thoughts are. The other option is I could park my truck at the end location, then have my wife take me to meeting area. Then no shuttling Friday, we just use my truck to get back to the original parking area. Of course I haven't asked her yet

I would like to be out in the woods the whole week preceding the group hang. Maybe I can stop by camp FatDaddy for a day otherwise I will just be wondering for a few days. School is out and so am I Whoooo Buddy!

Just a FYI on the IAT, the only nice places are in the northern section nearest the NCT. Being from Chicago, I thought the Southern Kettle Moraine section would be good, but it's mostly geared for day hikers, and there is no open camping permitted. IAT is a trail in progress, but the best parts are near the NCT.

Would love to be there, but unfortunately I'm all booked up with family gatherings...maybe sometime later this year!
