    New Warbonnet BB Dbl 1.1

Well, I’m very remiss! I ordered a Warbonnet BB Dbl 1.1 back during Christmas and a Chinook tarp (had to be reasonable with the cash), Christmas time and all. I've yet to take it out and set everything up. A combination of this, that, and God making up for the drought we had last summer. WB BB came in timely, I assume as ordered as I wouldn’t know 1.7 from 1.1. I'm really a novice as you can tell.
Today is such a beautimous day and I thought this was it! My wife has to work, so I went to the local hardware store and bought me some mason's line for my tarp. Then went to our local Academy to buy some tent stakes. I picked out those I would settle for, I wanted titanium; but, hey this was my 1st adventure. The cashier wanted to charge me $25 + for 8 tent stakes when they were $2.99 for a set of 4 and I picked 2 sets. I'm okay with mental math she was charging me $2.99 for 8. I tried to reason with the cashier and she wouldn't budge. I went to my truck and ruminated for a while and went back in, to verify my stance, grabbed 2 sets of stakes and went to a different cashier and bought the same sets of tent stakes as $6.47 for both sets, score! So as I was heading to the spot for my 1st set up and with a burning desire to become one of the few of those that “hang”, my wife texts me and lets me know that I had to meet someone that has to do work on our yard. The classic rock music stopped playing in my head and the sound of brakes was heard, bringing me to a screeching halt. Good Grief Charlie Brown, will Johnny ever get his chance?

Good grief indeed! I think we've all been there. I remember going out for a day hike, setting up and then getting a call that I was needed. Not the same as you since you haven't even set up yours yet but I feel you pain. You'll get there!

Sometimes I inadvertently leave my cell phone in my vehicle, or off.

That must happen more often than we think and I'll bet most of us can feel your pain. I'm waiting on the arrival of my new WBBB1.7, and go to the door every 2 hours, just to make sure the courier truck isn't lost in my neighborhood. Camping trip planned with my buds next weekend, and I can't wait to use the new hammock, and introduce a few of my friends to some of my older hammocks. If the new hammock doesn't get here soon, I may get shin splints from darting to and from the front door.

I'll definitely have the cell phone turned off the whole weekend.

Don't worry eventually you will "kick that football" - and it will be glorious.

She's not the issue. It's having kids that are active and involved that don't yet drive.

LOL, that is so funny, that kind of stuff happens to me all the time. Once I planned to go for a hang a week in advance. I was dreaming about it all week counting the day, hours and minutes until I finally would get out in the woods. I was looking at old pictures, playing with my gear and they day arrived. I rushed home after work and started to pack my gear when my wife guilt tripped me into staying home because she wasnt feeling well. (Just a side note, she was fine by the morning).

    Will it never end?
