    Thumbs up

Great report and pics, Flight Chick! Thanks for sharing!

I'm jealous. Have never been there when so much water was going over the falls! Nor any of the other falls, for that matter.

And I'd second the vote for camping down by the Caney Fork River. Sandy bank and rope swing over the swimming hole. My wife and I camped there. Great area for a group outing, I'd say.

That's a great idea Rain Man! We should plan a group hang there soon.

Some great pics there! I would really like to find some falls to camp over at some point - some fantastic views for sure!

Looks like a beautiful place to hang, will have to add it to my list of to-do's. Glad to hear you had a good time, one question though, what is it you don't like about the ASYM tarp for the cub?

Great pictures. I've always loved Virgin Falls. I try to go at least once a year. I actually spent the weekend before last hanging there.

Virgin falls is a good place to go with some decent places to camp. There are better places after you ford the Caney River. There is also the Caney Fork River trail you can do. Just be prepared for flash floods if there is rain in the forecast.

We did not encounter rain on this trip, but I fear that if it rains she will not have proper coverage. She also does not like the tarp hung very low and close to her hammock. I have to raise it pretty high above her. Maybe folks who have rain experience with the HH ASYM can correct me if I have judged it improperly.

I saw the trail to the left that said Caney Fork River, but we did not go down. A couple of other hikers mentioned they were camping at the river. I was not sure how far the river was or the camping availability. I will have to check it our next trip.
