I was gonna post an I'm interested, but the wife and the car put the kibosh on any plans for this weekend.

I'd love to go, unfortunately I'm on call this weekend I was just at batsto last weekend did a little walking with the family out by the lake. I was thinking about trying to get out the following weekend.
I'd really like to go too and meet some fellow hammock hangers but have a prior commitment. "MOD" weekend for car club and gave my word I'd give some of the guys a hand with their modifications.
Last I heard no campfires allowed out there but that might change if we get some rain. Good luck guys and have fun!

Change of plans - gonna skip Buttonwood Hill Friday night and head out Saturday morning. KYBob's brother GMarc has bailed, but my son Andrew is taking his place.
We will arrive at Batsto around 9 am, and hike 7.5 miles to Lower Forge. I always seem to get lost on this section, but KYBob says, "I never get lost. I know how to follow a trail." We shall see. By now I know the exact place I get lost, and when KYBob walks by it (and he will), I'm gonna be there with a "Hey dufus. The trail is this way."
Last minute change of plans - gonna hike to Mullica River Wilderness camp Sat. the 14th. Wanna start my son off slow with a 4 to 5 mile hike. He'll enjoy walking through Batsto Village too. And one of my hamstrings feels kind of tight.
Well, I'm changing plans again. We're gonna hike to Mullica River campsite, and if nobody's tired, we'll press on to Lower Forge. If my son is okay after 4.5 miles, he'll probably be fine for another 3 miles. Otherwise, we'll hunker down at Mullica River.
Baseball season is upon us and he needs to strengthen those legs.
So how did your hike go silvrsurfr? I was sorely tempted to try my luck and try to go and it turns out it was a good thing. I got so many emergency calls this weekend it wasn't even funny. Hopefully in the next few weeks I'll make it out, I just need to pick up a decent filter.
Went good - hope to get a trip report up tomorrow. High on Saturday was 80*, low was 55*, and the high on Sunday was 85 degrees. Not exactly my idea of spring camping, but it was fun!
