Hmm... you all have given me a lot to go on. Thanks for all the help and ideas! I'll see what I can come up with now.

That looks like a great way

I was planning on bringing my hammock to Wakarusa in May/June.
When it seems like the night will last forever
And there's nothing left to do but count the years
When the strings of my heart start to sever
And stones fall from my eyes instead of tears
I will walk alone by the black muddy river
And dream me a dream of my own

All the ideas on here are absolutely amazing.

I would not have believed that you could hang a hammock from ski polls.

    Hi Skylar,
I just need to disclose I'm the owner of handy Hammock Limited

You can also use a Handy Hammock system if you want something you can rely on that will take up to 275 of hanger! Packs up pretty small and weighs just 54 ounces inc the lightwieght hammock supplied.

Derek Hansen (author of The Ultimate Hang) has recently been kind enough to review it and tested it with a number of campign hammocks and tarps he owns rather than the lightweight one we supply.

Here's his photo using our ultralight folding supporting struts with a Hennessy Expedition Asym hammock. The tarp is the Outdoor Equipment Supplier (OES) MacCat Standard silnylon.

Hopefully we'll have our prototype canopy ready for sale soon as well...
