Leaving April 14th for a 2 week backpacking hammock adventure (my first), while prepping my gear and packing and re-packing I have come to the conclusion top quilt is the way to go as far as warmth to weight to pack space ratio. Looking to buy, borrow, trade, a top quilt in the 20°-40° range that would comfortably accommodate my 5'11" 305 lbs self

You may want to look at a mil-surplus poncho liner if you're in a hurry and on a budget. They're usually good for most folks down to about 40 with decent sleeping clothes. To turn it into a topquilt, tie the foot-end ties (including the middle tie on that end) together and then the mid-point ties to each other.
